Per Tim's plea last December, Project Runway is returning for season 16 with models of "all sizes" and it seems some of the designers are not too happy. According to Us Weekly, "For the time in the show’s history, the aspiring designers will use models who range from size 2 to 22 to showcase their designs for all body types throughout the entire season instead of for one-off challenges." In a sneak peek clip, from the premiere episode, "the contestants get into an intense discussion about plus-size models after one designer [ChaCha] referred to his dress form as 'too fat.'" He says, “My form is also too fat, like so fat, so it’s different.” While I'm sure that in the first episode he may have been surprised, but hopefully this type of complaining doesn't continue throughout the season just for "dramatic purposes". The new season of Project Runway premieres Thursday, August 17th on Lifetime. Will YOU be tuning in?
