![]() K-Mart announced last week that it would be renewing its fast fashion offerings in plus sizes, but with a new twist. They're calling the larger-than-L selection "Fabulously Sized" which reminds me of when Tyra started calling us "fiercely real". According to People, Kelly Cook, Kmart’s chief marketing officer told Women’s Wear Daily of the shift away from this controversial terminology, “When we reached out to our members on social media, they told us we needed to have a better assortment and that we should we call it something different. They absolutely love this whole mantra of ‘Fabulously Sized.’ We’re proud to provide this apparel, and we’re also proud about our price points.” There's been some back-and-forth on this topic, especially since the #DropThePlus campaign a few years ago, with people arguing against these fake and "empowering" labels to appease plus size women.
Like I said during the whole DTP feud, it's nice that stores carry plus size clothing. It would be nicer if it was the same clothing as everyone else, but in my size.
