![]() Not long after the PS community scolded H&M for "breaking new ground" by featuring plus size model Ashley Graham, yet only offered the collection in plus sizes online, the company has again moved in the wrong direction. H&M had finally entered the plus size world only to take step after step backwards out of it. Recently all the H&M stores in NYC have pulled their minuscule plus size sections to sell the "extended sizes" online only. But they weren't the only ones. According to Revelist, an H&M spokesperson said, "H&M’s product range has grown in the past few years, with e.g. an extended sports offering, a new beauty assortment and our interior concept H&M Home. This means not all stores have room for all our fashion concepts. The assortment in the stores is evolving as we continuously assess the product mix, which is decided by each store’s specific pre-requisites when it comes to e.g. its size and the customers’ requests. We refer customers to our online store hm.com, which includes all our fashion concepts, and a broader assortment." Anyone who has ever visited an H&M plus size section knows that it's small, unorganized, and downright sh!tty. The last time I looked at one, it was literally just a rack of outerwear. The question you may be asking yourself is "does my H&M carry plus sizes in store?" In their article, Revelist included the following information - so shop cautiously.
