E! News' Ken Baker's Novel ‘How I Got Skinny…’

The Wrap announced Ken Baker's novel, "How I Got Skinny, Famous and Fell Madly in Love" is being adapted into a film and will be directed by actor/director Stefanie Black.

According to The Wrap, "Black [best known as Holly on Scandal] is set to co-adapt the story for the screen along with Baker. The award-winning novel follows plus-size teen Emery Jackson, who is convinced to star in a reality show featuring her effort to lose 50 pounds in 50 days." 

While I have yet to read the novel, I can't help but have reservations about a story following a plus size female written by a SWM. That said, I'm optimistic with Black's assistance in writing the script.
