![]() Iskra Lawrence, best known as the plus size model who stripped down in the subway, was recently criticized for not actually being "plus size". While fans appreciate her posting non-retouched photos on her Instagram, they cant' help but point out that she's in no way bigger than the average woman. Vogue has released their new "diversity" cover for March featuring models Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Ashley Graham, and more. Although this cover has models who are different shades, and even a plus model, many people are speaking out online, calling the magazine out for not being diverse enough.
Urban Outfitters is the latest fashion house to use a Plus Model as a marketing tool, yet they do not even carry Plus Size clothing!
![]() A friend texted me, hurt and frustrated after being body shamed by a family member. Although I found a lot of resources to share with her, I couldn't find the exact article I wanted. So I've decided to write down my own thoughts, as well as share some resources, in an effort to help ANYONE who needs to put a hater in their place. Remember: it's your body.
America's Next Top Model has returned and this time Tyra's been replaced by Ashley Graham, Rita Ora, and... other people. The contestants this go-round are incredibly diverse - ranging from a gingers to Asians & Africans, they got an androgynous girl, sister, and a trans woman - yet Plus Size seems excluded. The community isn't happy.

Apparently, WW Black is a new campaign from Weight Watchers aimed at getting bigger ladies laid. Watch the campaign's promo here. But for some of us, being plus size never meant sex was off the table. Bustle magazine released a list of 9 Nerdy Plus Size Costumes that are easy to do, but when you look at the list you see that Bustle listed 9 easy costumes, and locations to find a plus size version of the look.
**This is not a review.**
The highly anticipated dramedy from the people who gave us Crazy. Stupid. Love. (a wonderful dramedy in itself) starring Milo Ventimiglia and Many Moore is about to hit televisions and, from what I hear, it fills the void left by the much beloved Parenthood (I never watched that show, but sure). With a stellar cast - you've got heartthrob and former Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia, singer/ actress Mandy Moore alongside mega-hottie soap alum Justin Hartley, The People v OJ's Emmy nominated Sterling K. Brown, and American Horror Story: Freak Show's Chrissy Metz - it's a must see! But that's not what this is about... ![]() Famed designer (and Project Runway mentor) Tim Gunn recently wrote a well-meaning piece for the Washington Post about the current state of Fashion and Plus Size Fashion. (You can read the entire thing here) Unfortunately, I'm not sure there was any new information in his piece. I appreciate his frustration, but wonder what he is doing to change the climate of his industry. Famed Model and inspirational human being, Tess Holliday, has fought fatphobia countless times and won. Yet, Facebook continues to disable her account for posting things they claim as violations of community standards.
